CAPT J.Keyes I have an idea for an FTX if you have ever heard of COP KEATING you may know where I'm going with this.
In the battle of COP KEATING, U.S Army soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division were surrounded on all sides by 400 Taliban forces, after that attack on October 3, 2009, where the base was nearly overrun, and 8 Americans and 4 Afghans defenders were killed. WE as a unit could use this as a training exercise and I will give points why.
- It demonstrates what we could do to prevent an attack like such.
-It demonstrates how to keep our soldiers from tunnel visioning and shows what we can do in a situation if our unit has low moral.
-It shows what to do if us as unit can do IF a situation like such would to occur.
-And it would bring pressure and teach command and air on a "BLACKOUT" (absolutely no comms) situation and what to do.
-And would demonstrate how fast our air forces can get in and save our asses.
Additional Info - FORT CARSON, Colo. (Jan. 25, 2013) -- Former Staff Sgt. Clinton L. Romesha, section sergeant, Company B, 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, is scheduled to be awarded the Medal of Honor by President Barrack Obama, Feb. 11, in Washington, D.C., for his heroic actions at Combat Outpost Keating, Afghanistan, on Oct. 3, 2009 along with Specialist Ty Carter.
